So, it looks like someone was messing around with American Sniper's IMDb
Warner Bros Warner Bros
AMERICAN SNIPER HAS been on everyone’s lips this week – and with good reason. Not only has it broken several box office records and been mocked for using fake babies, it has also found itself on the receiving end of much criticism.
Earlier this week, Seth Rogen likened the film to the Nazi propaganda film in Inglourious Basterds. Though Rogen has since clarified his comments, that didn’t stop one joker from visiting IMDb and changing the German title of American Sniper.
To what, you ask?
Stolz der Nation, which is better known as the title of the fictional propaganda film in Inglourious Basterds.
Oh No They Didn't! Oh No They Didn't!
Oh.
The edit was quickly spotted and the German title has been restored to its original name, Der Scharfschütze.
Never change, internet.
